God Won't Fail

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

This is such a fantastic promise. This is one I cling to so often because of its deep truth when circumstances don't seem to make sense and we are in a difficult situation. It's important to remember that He works all circumstances together for our good and ultimately for His good which are one in the same although to us it doesn't always seem that way.

On a personal note, I went through a season, about a year ago, in which I had a very difficult work situation. Thankfully I am through it and on to greener pastures. There were times when I thought 'Why God are you having me go through this?' In hindsight this difficult work situation led me directly to the new cross country ski coaching work I have now that I love and through which I can be a real blessing to others and a really bright light for the Lord in the ski community. Without the previous difficult work experience I wouldn't be doing what I am now.

Since God used the darkest day in history (Jesus' death) for good (his glory & our salvation) this reminds us that his ability to work our difficult situations for good seems trivial in comparison.
